The 4H Shooting Sports Sporter team recently participated in the US Army Marksmanship Unit Postal tournament. The teams performance placed them 1st in the State, 22nd place nationally (out of 200 teams) and qualifies them to attend the National Marksmanship Event in early February at Fort Benning, GA. A great accomplishment for the team and will be a great experience for them to attend the event in Georgia. We’re currently assessing whether we can afford to send the team or not.
Howie Edison had a great performance on the sporter side with a 548, a personal competition best which he then beat at the CMP State finals with a 550 a few weeks later. That performance placed him 8th in the nation. Great job Howie.
The Hellgate Precision Team also qualified with a 1st Place MT State finish – and 7th place nationally.
