The team just got back from Layton UT where they shot at the CMP Regional Championships.
Jonna Warnken’s precision team placed 2nd in the tournament and are currently ranked 2nd in the nation, receiving a qualification for CMP Nationals in Camp Perry OH. The 2nd Hellgate precision team also qualified for CMP Nationals.
The Sporter team did not qualify a whole team for the CMP Regionals, so Howie Edison, Bailey Milender, and Heath Edison were our only shooters. Howie had a great weekend and ended up in 6th place. Bailey finished in 18th and Heath finished in 73rd.
The whole sporter team which also includes Decker and Payton Milender had previously qualified for the Junior Olympic National match, which is shot in conjunction with the CMP Nationals.
We’re currently looking to send the team to NRA Nationals in May and the CMP/JO Nationals in June. Obviously, this takes a lot of effort and money to get these kids to these National tournaments, and so are asking for any help to get them there. Any donations received are tax deductible and go into a national tournament fund which is shared between the Rifle and Archery teams. Attached is a flyer with more information.
